Letter from Members Representative - Jason Wyatt

Dear Members,

Subject: Micro Engagement Sessions for the Club Development Project

I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying your time at Williamstown Swimming and Lifesaving Club.

As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that all members' voices are heard and valued, we are excited to announce a series of micro engagement sessions. These sessions are designed to gather feedback, suggestions, and ideas from various segments of our club community to inform our development initiatives effectively.

We have curated a list of groups to ensure comprehensive representation across our large and diverse membership base. However, if we have inadvertently missed any group, please accept our apologies as it would have been an oversight. We appreciate that not everyone may feel they fit neatly into one of these groups, and will continue to hold broader feedback sessions. Your input is important to us, and we welcome participation from all members who wish to contribute.

The groups identified for the micro engagement sessions are as follows:

  • Nippers and Nipper Comp Team (Joel)

  • Senior Comp Team (Joel)

  • Boat Crews (Kane)

  • Fitness Groups (Joel)

  • Lawn Lizards (Sam)

  • Families (Sarah)

  • Junior Members (Sarah)

  • Swimmers (Sarah and Sam)

  • Board (Kane or Jason)

  • Training Officer and Trainers (Dicko)

  • Social Coordinators (Sarah)

  • Patrollers (Dicko)

  • IRB Competition Team  (Kane )

  • Life members (Sam)

  • Silver Salties (Sam)

Each group will have its dedicated session where members can share their perspectives, concerns, and ideas regarding various aspects of club activities and development. These sessions will provide the opportunity for us to gather insights directly from our members, and ensure that our plans align, to the extent possible, with your needs and aspirations.

We encourage all members to actively participate in the micro engagement sessions and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of our club. Your involvement is crucial in shaping the future direction of Williamstown Swimming and Lifesaving Club.

If there is any group that feels as if they have been missed, please get in touch with me and we will arrange a session.

Details regarding the dates, times, and formats of the micro engagement sessions will be communicated to each group shortly. We look forward to your participation and contributions.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our club’s redevelopment. Together, we can achieve great things and create a vibrant and inclusive community at Williamstown Swimming and Lifesaving Club.

Warm regards,

Jason Wyatt
